Ethnobotanical Gardens
Thank you for visiting our Tribal Culture Center & Museum (CCM) page. The first phase of the ethnobotanical gardens has begun! On May 3, 2008 a 'mini' ethnobotanical garden was created around the Steilacoom Tribe sign to demonstrate the idea of an ethnobotanical garden and show what is in store when the rest of the garden projects proceed. The mini garden showcases a variety of native species such as Indian Camas (Camassia quamash), Coastal Strawberry (Fragaria chiloensis), Oregon grape (Mahonia repens), Salal (Galtheria Shallon), Sword fern (Polystichum munitum, and many others.
We hope you enjoy the garden and come by often to watch it grow with us.
